A Confident ME

Our Team

Rachael and Kristen are the founders of ‘A Confident ME’. They both have 25 years teaching experience and are parents raising teens in our ever changing and challenging world. Through both of these experiences they could see the desperate need for early intervention to raise the inner confidence and resilience levels of children and young people.

They are on a mission to make a difference to the lives of individuals from the inside out. They are trained in life coaching, mindfulness, positive psychology, growth mindset and emotional wellbeing. After five years of both running successful independent coaching and wellbeing businesses in schools across Sefton and Lancashire, they have come together to bring you ‘A Confident ME’.

Hi, I’m Rachael, mum to 3 girls, two teens and a tween, a wife and owner of two whippets who I exercise with most days in an attempt to keep some level of fitness, but mostly so I can still eat plenty of cake!

My expertise within the ‘A Confident ME’ programme lies in unlocking our own unique inner confidence that we ALL have in order to thrive.

Our family life is full of ups and downs like all families, so the ‘A Confident ME’ programme is always applied daily in our home. With positive communication, an acceptance that life will not always go to plan, kindness and a willingness to avoid blame and excuses we are able to find our own inner strength and resilience to become our best selves.

Changing the lives of others is without question the BEST way to grow and develop yourself. Along with Kristen, I very much enjoy getting to know and supporting the new ‘A Confident ME’ coaches.

Hi, I am Kristen, wife and mum to 2 teenage girls. Even after 20 years as a teacher my true appreciation of just how diverse and challenging children’s needs can be came from raising these two totally amazing, unique young people. I endeavour to have a mindful approach to parenting where calmness and open communication is key.

Mindfulness became a way of life for me personally after reaching a point of overwhelm a few years ago. Adopting a regular meditation practise helped me find a place of peace amongst the chaos and gave me the space I needed to recharge and love the life I live. Mindfulness gives me the acceptance, appreciation and self-compassion during both the good and difficult days. I am passionate about empowering children to have a tuned emotional awareness along with self-help tools for when life gets tough. I believe this is what gives them the strong roots to really thrive and the foundations that their inner confidence is built on.

When I am not teaching, coaching or being a mum, I love pottering in the garden, yoga, up-cycling furniture and walking in nature, especially in the sand dunes with Coco my crazy Cocker Spaniel!
