Our Team
Rachael and Kristen are the founders of ‘A Confident ME’. They both have 25 years teaching experience and are parents raising teens and young adults in our ever changing and challenging world. Through both of these experiences they could see the desperate need for early intervention to raise the inner confidence and resilience levels of children and young people.
They are on a mission to make a difference to the lives of individuals from the inside out. They are trained in Life Coaching, NLP, EFT, Clinical Hypnotherapy, Mindfulness, Positive Psychology, DDP, Growth Mindset and Emotional Wellbeing. After 10 years of both running successful independent coaching and wellbeing businesses in schools across Sefton and Lancashire, they have come together to bring you ‘A Confident ME’.

Hi, I’m Rachael — my life’s work is dedicated to supporting young people in unlocking their best, most empowered selves so they can thrive.
As a mum to three wonderful girls, I understand first-hand the heartache that comes when your child struggles. That’s why A Confident ME isn’t just something I teach — it’s a way of life.
After 25 years of teaching, I saw the desperate need to do more to help young people fully embrace their individuality and inner strength. My expertise lies in unlocking the confidence we all have access to. This transformation empowers us to navigate life’s inevitable challenges. Through open and honest communication, resilience, kindness, and a refusal to fall into a mindset of blame or excuses, lasting change becomes truly liberating.
My private practice at home is a calm and nurturing space where I connect with people of all ages. Understanding the neuroscience behind how our brain can — and often does — sabotage our growth and happiness is a crucial part of enabling a mindset shift. With this understanding, we can explore self-regulation techniques and empowering self-talk strategies to transform both body and mind, opening up new perspectives on life and future opportunities.
I also support parents who feel unsure about how best to help their child. For some young people, true progress begins when their caregiver is part of the conversation. When everyone feels heard, supported, and understood, lasting transformation becomes possible.
Working alongside Kristen, my amazing co-founder, I feel incredibly lucky to support and nurture our A Confident ME coaches. Watching teachers grow in confidence and go on to inspire others is one of the most rewarding parts of what I do.
Outside of work and parenting, I share life with my husband and our two lively whippets, who help keep me active (and justify my love of cake!). Our daily walks and runs offer more than just exercise — they’re a key part of managing my ADHD mind, which I proudly consider one of my superpowers.

Hi, I’m Kristen – a wife, mum to two incredible teenage girls, and a passionate confidence coach.
After over 20 years in teaching, it was raising my own neurodiverse family that truly deepened my understanding of how wonderfully unique children's needs can be. That journey also led me to uncover my own neurodivergence - a lightbulb moment that brought me greater self-understanding and compassion.
Calmness, open communication, and mindful connection are the heart of both my parenting and coaching approach.
Mindfulness became a lifeline for me about 10 years ago, during a time of deep overwhelm. Through regular meditation and intentional living, I found peace amid the chaos, and with it, the ability to recharge and rediscover joy. It’s been transformative - not just in navigating life’s ups and downs, but in cultivating deep acceptance, appreciation, and self-compassion.
I’m passionate about helping children and young people develop emotional awareness and practical self-help tools so they can thrive with confidence. These are the roots from which true self-belief grows and our inner confidence is unlocked. Through my work in therapeutic coaching and hypnotherapy, I support individuals of all ages to feel seen, heard, and truly enough - just as they are.
My mission is to guide my clients toward embracing their uniqueness, nurturing their inner strength, and live their best life. A life in which they that can feel happy, fulfilled, and be unapologetically authentic.
When I’m not running my coaching business in schools and at home, teaching, or parenting, you’ll find me pottering in the garden, doing yoga, upcycling furniture, or wandering through nature. I love escaping to the beautiful island of Anglesey or walking in my local sand dunes with my ‘lively’ Cocker Spaniel, Coco.
